These reflect my years of experience as a practising midwife, and the quality of the care I now offer, as a Birth Friend (qualified midwife who is no longer practising midwifery).
All fees are negotiable within reason. A hardship fund is in operation.

Initial Meeting

£70
I offer an initial meeting to help you explore your hopes and plans and to give you the chance to meet me in person. These one to two hour meetings may be in your home or elsewhere, as you prefer, and may help you decide if you wish to book one of my care packages.
These meetings are subject to an excess mileage charge as set out below where I have undertaken a round trip of more than 40 miles.

Birth Friend Full Care Package

£2500
This includes four two-hour long meetings during pregnancy and can cover Birth Preparation, Birth Preferences, Birth Work for Partners, Rebozo Techniques for Pregnancy and Birth, Preparing to Breastfeed, Birth Friend Support and full Babymoon Support (see below).

Birth Friend Standard Package

£1800
This includes four two-hour long meetings during pregnancy and can cover Birth Preparation, Birth Preferences, Birth Work for Partners, Rebozo Techniques for Pregnancy and Birth, Preparing to Breastfeed, Birth Friend Support and two Babymoon Support visits. Extra visits are available at £70.00 each. Some clients like me to attend hospital or other appointments with them.

Birth Friend Returners Package

£1500
Usually aimed at returning clients, this includes two hour-long meetings before the birth and Birth Friend support at your birth, with a phone call or virtual meeting after the birth.

Babymoon Support Package

£700
10 visits arranged to suit you.
This package is only available within 20 miles of my home location in South Oxfordshire. Visits are normally done during office hours. Evening and weekend visits can be arranged but are charged at my Out of Hours rate of £70.00 per hour.

Mileage

I expect to cover the cost of round trips up to 40 miles in my fees. Mileage in excess of this is charged at 56p per mile. This is usually invoiced at the end of care.

A consultation and at least two (but ideally four) antenatal visits are part of this option. We need to get to know each other for you to gain best from my services.
